At the end of the day, finishing our to-do list feels great. We feel productive and like we got a lot done.

We like to plan our tasks so we can work faster and get more done. But what about planning time for creativity?

Creativity isn't something we can just turn on and off. A good idea might be to set aside a dedicated time and place where creativity can come naturally.

We aren't robots that can be productive all the time, and too much focus on efficiency might lead to burnout.

For people like artists, writers, designers, and anyone who does creative work, it's important to make time for creativity.

Beth Pickens made a good point when she once said, "Artists are people who are profoundly compelled to make their creative work, and when they are distanced from their practice, their life quality suffers."
