The creative process should be approached like a jog rather than a sprint. When we start slow, we give ourselves the chance to warm up to our thoughts. And we avoid the quick burnout that comes from rushing to the "best" idea. As joggers tune into their bodies, allowing them to warm up to prevent them from getting injured, we should jog with our ideas by giving them the time they need to develop with depth. Sprinting through the creative process prevents the idea from reaching its full potential. By adopting a more deliberate pace, like that of jogging, we encourage our thoughts to naturally gain depth and nuance over time. The philosophy is this: persistent, thoughtful jogging is key to nurturing well-rounded and mature ideas.
