Writing is a valuable skill to learn in modern society. But why is that? The amount of information you can have access to at your fingertip is ridiculously easy. We live in a continuous Epidemy of Information. You can learn whatever you want. You can go to places like YouTube to provide "free" education, where you learn most subjects from school. But what happens when you constantly learn without it leading to some kind of output? That learning becomes shallow. What all great learners do is write about what they are learning. Because when you do that, you start paying attention to your thinking. You become a conscious learner as opposed to a mindless learner (yes, that's a thing like mindless scrolling.) What you do is that you teach your brain to remember what's important to you. And you're making a commitment to learn more about a given topic. It's a rabbit hole of exploration. You can turn any topic into an in-depth research project through writing.
